Dr. David Evans

Veterinarian (Locum)

Dr Evans graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1972. Living in Ontario and intending to practice there he took his first job in Dartmouth, NS . Falling in love with NS he never left. He owned and operated the Chester Basin Animal Hospital and sold it in 2015. Moving to Cole Harbour he decided to do locum work which led me to the Sydney Animal Hospital. He love the bus pace of the practice and the great team work that goes on to meet the needs of clients and their pets.

Dr Evans special interest is medicine, dermatology and naturopathic medicine – he taught Dr Richard Pitcairn’s course to Canadian vets for 2 years.

Fun fact. Dr Evans and Linda have eight children, twenty-seven grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. Also, every pet he and his family had, have been rescue’s and presently they have a 13yr old Golden Retriever called Brigham and two cats, Norman and Jack.

In Dr Evans spare time he works in his garden, reads and volunteer for their church.
